Welcome to the latest edition of meet your neighbors. This week, we are going to introduce you to Rick Hood, who lives at Kramer School Lofts. Rick likes living at Kramer School because he said it’s really home-y, just like other nice homes he has lived in. He moved back to town to be closer to his grand babies and got a job at the Meteor. He wanted to live in a place that was convenient and close to work, so a co-worker told him about Downtown Dwellings. Rick likes his neighbors and said everyone is easy to get along with. He loves when he walks in the door at Kramer school and said that Downtown Dwellings staff is always nice and helpful, so that’s a plus too! The best part about living downtown is that he can ride his bike to anywhere that he wants to go.
“I start my car once or twice a week, just to make sure it still runs.”
His favorite places to ride his bike are dinner, work, or a baseball game. He also enjoys cycling on the River Trail or out towards Lake Maumelle and hiking. He’s also an avid runner who has completed 46 marathons and said the Little Rock Marathon is his favorite because it’s fun and it has the biggest medal in the world (go run a check on snopes : ) He has also done 6 iron man races and plans to do more.
His favorite downtown spots are Stone’s Throw Brewing because it’s close and the people there are friendly. He likes relaxing at Dickey Stephens Park, shopping at Stratton’s Market, or getting an old fashioned at Dugan’s Pub. If you live at Kramer School and need something, just give Rick’s door a little knock and say Hi!
Thanks Rick, for participating in our blog feature.
