Big city architecture with a small-town feel attracted new Downtown Dwelling’s resident Lauren Osburne to her new home. Lauren said she loves being closer to her family and having all the benefits of Little Rock’s local restaurants, bars, museums, and walking/biking trails. Lauren said that when she found out she was moving back to Arkansas for work, a friend and former Downtown Dwelling’s resident referred her. Her experience working with Jill, Zack, and the rest of the team was amazing. They first chatted via email about a few properties, however, when she arrived for her showings, they had a few other apartments in mind based on what she was looking for and what they thought might be a good fit. She really felt that they considered her lifestyle and what she needed, like when they showed her current home, which has large windows so her plants can get plenty of sun. With the historic charm of the large windows and beautifully added modern updates, Lauren is reminded of the 100-year-old apartment she also loved in Chicago.
Since moving back, one of her favorite "finds" is Three Fold Noodle & Dumpling Company and she is looking forward to trying more restaurants in SoMA, River Market, and Main Street Creative Corridor neighborhoods. She also ventures out for walks and runs in the community, where she enjoys seeing everyone out and about walking their dogs. She hopes to get her own fur baby soon and even has names picked out!
She's worked in the Emergency Room and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and moved back to Little Rock to work at a North Little Rock family practice office. While she knew she was moving to a colder climate to attend Loyola, she is very excited to be back in warmer weather and looking forward to shorter and milder winters, even with our recent snowstorm!
Running is her favorite hobby and helps relieve stress, but she also loves to explore other hobbies and isn't committed to just one. She plans to start playing the guitar again since she's taken lessons in the past.
Be sure and say hi if you see Lauren around the neighborhood and if you have any recommendations on any of Little Rock’s hidden treasures, be sure and let her know!
