Meet Julianne Dunn

Moving into her first Downtown Dwelling home in 2011, and between leaving Arkansas for a bit and wanting to change her surroundings, Julianne has enjoyed four Downtown Dwelling homes {surely she wins an award}. She loves the aesthetic of all the properties, the flow of each apartment and how Jill and Mark thoughtfully restore each of them, keeping the historic charm and adding modern touches.

Julianne is an instructor for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service in the Economic Development office. She works with communities to build economic development and entrepreneurship. She is passionate about helping young entrepreneurs learn how they can own a business, even at a young age, and help pave the way for small communities to succeed through growth and tourism.

Passionate about the environment, Julianne is avid about recycling, composting and doing her part to help educate others about how they can join the climate change movement. She appreciates Jill and Mark's commitment to using sustainable products in each of their properties and their commitment to going green. We are excited she will be a Downtown Dwelling Green Initiative volunteer helping us expand our program!

When working with the Peace Corp in Ukraine, Julianne's family grew to include her fur baby, Miles. Now 14, Miles is temperamental but loves his Downtown Dwelling apartment and is constantly trying to escape to explore his downtown Little Rock neighborhood!

When Julianne isn't working, she is on the lookout for the next great Arkansas festival to attend! Never missing local festivals, like Little Rock’s own World Cheese Dip Championship or Arkansas Cornbread Festival, she also travels to festivals including the Hope or Cave City Watermelon Festivals or even the Goat Festival! Her new adventure includes visiting all the Arkansas State Parks to get her passport stamped.

Julianne loves downtown life! She finds so many things to do in SoMa, the Downtown Corridor and the River Market District. She also visits as many historical sites as possible. One of her favorites is Curran Hall, which is within walking distance from her apartment and it's free!

Be sure and say hi next time you see Julianne around the neighborhood and follow us on social to see how Julianne is helping Downtown Dwellings with our Green Initiative!
